DASTA drives creative cities Organized a seminar on woven fabric handicrafts (Textile Talk) of the LIMEC Economic Corridor Network. On Friday, May 5, 2023, at 9:00 a.m., Dr. Chumpol Musiganont, Deputy Director-General of DASTA, Col. Nawin Preechapanitchayakul, Managing Director of Designated Area 4, along with executives and officers, organized a seminar on woven fabric handicrafts (Textile Talk) of the LIMEC Economic Corridor Network. The ceremony, presided over by Mr. Suchat Thikasuk, Governor of Sukhothai Province, took place at Sukhothai Treasure Resort & Spa Hotel. The main objectives of the activity were to increase business opportunities through tourism, promote tourism products and services of Sukhothai Province, and present opportunities to private sector entrepreneurs at the international level. The aim is to develop the potential and elevate the level of tourism in Sukhothai Creative City, positioning it as a regional tourism destination. This initiative aligns with the mission of members of the Creative Cities Network, following the Membership Monitoring Guidelines and focusing on the development goals of “Dawn of Happiness: World Heritage City and Civilization, Creative Economy, and Innovation City.” The evening session featured booths from the Community Tourism Promotion Club, representing 11 communities, including products from all 9 districts within the province and Sukhothai Province’s prison products. Additionally, two booths were set up at the Tha Nam Rabsadej Retro-Market area to welcome Thai Majesty at Sukhothai Historical Park. DASTA received cooperation from various sectors to create awareness, promote tourism, and generate income in the community economy. The event garnered online attention, with participants sharing their experiences on Facebook through the DASTA Sukhothai page, reaching a wide audience through live broadcasts.
