Sır Village
The Creative Cultural Industries Center of Kütahya: Sır Village
With our project, which was entitled to receive grants in 2023 within the scope of the Tourism and Agricultural Infrastructure Financial Support Program with the support of Zafer Development Agency, it is aimed to increase the national and international attractiveness of Kütahya in the focus of creative and cultural industries, to increase service capacity and quality in tourism, to create tourism routes for distinguished destination networks and national tour operators, and to increase added value, especially geographically marked products and tiles.
It is aimed to establish a Kütahya Creative Cultural Industries Center “Sır Village”, which is owned by our Municipality, in a location of the city that is suitable for road trade and can be a tourism route, with a closed area of 3000 square meters and an open area of 10,000 square meters, where workshops where tourists, students and the public can experience crafts and folk arts such as tiles, ceramics, embroidery, silver processing in Kütahya Central district, as well as the production and sale of these products.
In the center to be established with our project, with the support of our partners, qualified production, promotion, experience and sales opportunities to be made in tile and other handicraft workshops to be contributed by doyen artists will enable both the continuation of culture and economic development in the region. High-value-added products will be produced here by ensuring the effective use of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network brand. The project has just started and is currently ongoing.
