Papersimphony

February 2024 saw the third edition of the event PaperSymphony which started in the year 2022 and continues carring out every year, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Fabriano.

The first goal of the project is the creation at the Paper and Watermark Museum, a major exhibition of works by Fabriano and also  outside artists.  Paper is common denominator of the pieces. The exhibition period is enriched by performances and lectures. On the occasion of the event, a catalog is produced, the main instrument for promoting the path taken, which will welcome interventions in support from leading Fabrianese cultural figures.

With specific reference to local roots, the artists work in the most diverse artistic expressions (visual art, music, dance, theater poetry and literature), they are encouraged and supported in their research aimed at productions where paper, understood as a material to be shaped or alluded to, is at the center of their attentions.

On the initiative and with the collaboration of anyone willing to get involved, solo exhibitions, events, lectures and debates aimed at strengthening a more widespread paper culture will continue in the years.

History, genius loci expression of man’s connection with the reality in which he lives, ancient processing techniques , tell the uniqueness of a territory.

With reference to local roots, the artists of the area use paper which is the protagonist of the works, with them they express these values and their own identity giving continuity into the future over time.
